Hot Chocolate!

The primitive version of Hot Chocolate was a drink called xocoatl. It was created by grinding the cocoa beans into paste and then mixing it with water and spices. The drink was then introduced to the Spaniards who then started adding a sweetener instead of spices.

Hot chocolate can be found in most households today. It is shared with friends and family on a cold winter's day or in front of a fireplace during the holidays. In my opinion, hot chocolate is only complete when marshmallow or whip cream is added.
