Hello Kitty & Keroppi Cupcakes + Cake

This was a custom order with Hello Kitty cupcake faces that was suppose to be stenciled on with cocoa powder...BUT... I'm a Hello Kitty nut so I decided to re-design the cupcake. I made a 2D version using Choco-Pan fondant. All the faces and bows for this set was hand cut using my own stencil. Was it time consuming? Yes. Did I sleep? No.

Hello Kitty Cupcake 3D

I love this cupcake... I DO. But man, oh man... it was a long process. The dome is not just frosting or a block of fondant. I made the dome out of cake, then lightly frosted the dome, wrapped it in White-Chocolate fondant and finally, attached all the edible accessories. This is the only one of its kind made from it's brothers and sisters baked that day. (Sigh). I miss it.
