Seeing Doubles??

Skull Phone cupcakes! My friend Eddie called a few days ago to commission this cupcake for a skull phone contest. It was entered on Friday and he's still waiting to hear back. What's the prize? A really cool poster and some stickers!


The jaw of the skull was made by cutting half of a large marshmallow and then attaching it to the bottom of the cupcake. Then, the entire thing was frosted. Chocolate melts for the eyes, M&M's cut in half for nose and mouth. Cell phone was made using a miniature Hershey candy bar secured by toothpicks. And finally I cut extra pieces of cake and attached it using icing to create the skull's hand. Sure, it was a bit time consuming to make just this ONE cupcake but I had a lot of fun. =)
